Azumi Setoda

ONOMICHIJAPAN

A 150-year-old merchant estate, reimagined for a new generation.

Azumi Setoda is an intimate ryokan on Ikuchijima, an island in Japan’s Seto Inland Sea. At its heart is the former home of the Horiuchi family, prosperous salt merchants and shipowners who built the estate in 1876.

Azumi carries the spirit of the original house forward through architecture, food, bathing, and a deep connection to the island’s life.
